Anna Wintour’s quarantine outfit might include her famous shades, but on Monday, she took them off to address viewers at Vogue magazine’s virtual live A Moment with the Met event, a precursor for the postponed Met Gala and exhibit.
Seated in her home office, the editor-in-chief of the publication first greeted her audience with her sunglasses, before removing them to offer words of solidarity amid the global COVID-19 emergency.
“This is a time of grief and of hardship for millions, and the postponement of a party is nothing in comparison,” she addressed.
Wintour then discussed 2020’s theme for the Met’s fashion exhibit, ‘About Time: Fashion and Duration’, previously scheduled to open on 5 May but has since been postponed to October.
Fans also got a first peek at the showcase, which you can view here.
