People don’t like being told what to do, so Burger King has enforced a number of humorous post-lockdown measures to ensure customers uphold social distancing guidelines to protect one another from the spread of the coronavirus.
Besides creating a poster urging patrons to stay a safe distance from McDonald’s and rolling out “social-distance crowns,” the fast-food giant is pitching a ‘Social Distancing Whopper’ to force people apart by smell.
The campaign, produced with digital agency Wunderman Thompson Italy, jokes about a timely update to the famous Whopper by tripling its serving of raw onions so people are shocked into staying away.
The spot also recommends ordering delivery or takeout to further protect customers from odious breaths.
