Pixar’s 1998 animation film, A Bug’s Life, stars everybody’s favorite hefty caterpillar, Heimlich. Now, the beloved creature has been transformed into a nightmarish sex toy by Austin-based artist Malek Lazri.

Taking inspiration from memes, Lazri designed Heimlich using an actual adult toy. With the use of silicone mold, the artist sculpted the caterpillar’s prominent features and painted over the design to bring the ‘bug’ to life.

The innocuous sex toy has been put up for sale on eBay and Craiglist for US$2,000. So far, no one has started bidding for the one-of-a-kind adult gadget, but the Hemlich-inspired sex toy has made its rounds on TikTok with over 52,000 likes.

In Lazri’s Instagram post, he claimed that the item was “an original, limited edition A Bug’s Life Heimlich Fleshlight,” which came out at the same time of the film release. He also described it to be “gently used” with the “ticklers” intact, although it is non-functional as the mouth is sealed.

Just to be clear, Pixar did not release any sex toy that resembled Heimlich when the film came out. Lazri told VICE that he would “love” to get a cease and desist from Pixar for the sex toy.
