Tom Hardy Looks Unrecognizable After Transforming Into Al Capone For New Biopic

Tom Hardy is beyond recognition in the poster for the upcoming film, Capone.

The biopic will show Hardy playing notorious gangster Al Capone, who was arrested for tax evasion. Hardy was tasked to embody Capone’s life during his final days after he had been diagnosed with syphilitic dementia in prison.

The actor showed off the new poster for Capone on Instagram, which features a huge scar on his cheek as he stares into the distance and his head seemingly disintegrating.

Hardy had to go through a huge transformation in the movie, as seen in the behind-the-scenes photo shared by photographer Greg Williams, who also praised the “amazing makeup” done by Audrey Doyle for impressively transforming Hardy into an aging Capone.

Directed and written by Josh Trank, the upcoming biopic will be released digitally by Vertical Entertainment to Video On Demand on 12 May.
